Needle Night Christmas

This is the week of parties, it's great! Another small gathering, some members are new grandma's and spending time with those new babies, who can argue with that? Others having to work, though we missed them, we managed to have some great food, good laughs and of course an amazing ornament exchange. Everyone always comes up with something uniquely theirs, love it!

Primitive Christmas Blog Hop - Day 5

Today is the FIFTH day of the Primitive Christmas Blog Hop!  And you’re right where you need to be!

Peace, something we could all use a little more of.  This time of the year a sentiment that is often shared is, Peace on earth, goodwill towards men.  For me, peace is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Jesus, the reason for this season.  May this little ornament be a reminder of His love.  Wishing you Peace and a Merry Christmas - Ali

Nebraska Rug Hooking Retreat {Nov 8 - 13}

Just returned from my first trip to Nebraska and what fun we had. Started at Janice Lee's shop, Black Horse Antiques/ Rug Shop and got some shots of rugs and antiques. Also some rugs hanging in her house, LOTS to see.

Then we moved on to the beautiful Lied Lodge for the retreat. I taught along with Pris Butler and Donna Hrkman and Janice set up an amazing wool store. Show and tell, always one of my favorite parts. There is amazing hooking going on out there.

A few of Donna's students rugs

Some of Pris's students

Last, but not least, my students. I must apologize, for some reason not all of my photos came out which is very disappointing as they did some fantastic work. Lots of different techniques and fibers, and so much fun. Can't wait to see finished pieces!
