Sauder Photos

After the Sauder show I posted lots of photos as I always do, but I want to give credit as I should to Tracy Jamar. I LOVED what was going on I her class and several photos were of her work, her students work, and some antique pieces. What she does makes my heart sing with its creativeness. A new book that she has done with Rug Hooking Mag. will be coming out after the first of the year, be sure to look for it. To see more of Tracy's work go to:

Miami Valley Rug Guild

It has been a whirlwind week for me after returning from Sauder. Trying to ship orders, and get ready for my next event, the hook in at Danville, IN., then on to Oklahoma City.
It was great to take a break, return rugs from the show and just see what everyone is up to. Hooking of course!

The 20th Sauder Rug Show

Where to start?!  Another amazing week at Sauder Village! I have been coming since the beginning, all 20 years and it just seems to get better and better. There were several discussions throughout the week at how the world of rug hooking has changed since this show started. So much more color, use of different techniques, and fibers. The things that make my heart sing!  800 rugs hung plus the ones in the vendors booths, and the special exhibits were great!

A shout out to Jenny Rupp who had the vision to start this show, Kathy Wright and all her helpers who work endless hours to pull this show, workshops, and classes together, Sue Link and all the other workers and volunteers from Sauder Village who do all they can to make our stay a good one, and Deb Smith of Rug Hooking Magazine that brings us Celebrations and keeps the the word out about this art form.

This year was even more special for me because my kids and grandkids came to see the show and share in the Sauder Village experience. They loved it!

Enjoy the pics, and put it on your calendar for next year, you will not be disappointed! Aug. 15-19, 2017
