Christmas Bag

Someone got a great gift from Genny, one of our hooking club members. She used one of the totes I sell as her base, and then hooked a great piece for the insert! I'm sure the gift was a hit!

Birthday Gift for my Grandson

After buying my grandson the nerf gun he wanted for his birthday, I spent last night evening making him a target. I used wool (of course) and needle felted the details. It's hanging from a spring rod that can be hung at any level in an open doorway. Pretty clever if I do say so myself! Hopefully it'll be a hit and he'll use this instead of his younger brother or sister as targets! I'll keep you posted, the party is this Sunday.

I'm very excited to now have available word charms for sale on my website! These charms are sterling silver and are individually hand crafted, so there will be variations with each charm. Workt By Hand 2010

Plans are set for gathering in historic Old Tippecanoe, Tipp City, Ohio, May 6 - 8, 2010. A splendid location for our retreat! Join us in a creative journey celebrating Folk-Art and fellowship.

We are pleased to announce the theme for this year’s project is Recycle & Repurpose. Our project, a decorative piece for your home, translates this theme, quite literally, into a set of Embellished Quilt Blocks or Creative Blocks if you will, that focus our thoughts and stitching on the importance of caring for our environment and wisely using all our resources. In keeping with tradition, our project was designed exclusively for Workt By Hand.

A Great Time with Nola in St. Louis

After setting up for the Christmas Open House at Nola's studio, we headed to Skif.

Skif is a store/studio that is just around the corner from Nola's studio. They have fantastic clothes and a creative space - it's inspiring just to walk around and see what they have going on! A must see place after visiting Nola's studio.

Here are few snapshots that I took while wondering around...

Here are some photos from Nola's studio. A very creative and inspiring place to visit!

Yarn Christmas trees

I loved this - each letter is cut from a license plate

Christmas Fox

A little antiquing and a trip to a local yarn store.
I can't resist those verigated yarns!

Merry Christmas from Nola's!
