Pool Day

Just a little side note. Went to the pool today with two of my daughters and grandkids. The oldest grandson (8) worked up the courage this year to go off the high dive, and kept pestering me to do the same.

Did the low dive, then thought okay, I can do this. So, on a dare I went off the high dive (first time in 40+ years) much to their delight! Talking with other kids in line I asked if their grandma's would go off the the high dive. The answer was, "no way," or "absolutely not!"

So if asked, be the grandma that says yes and take the plunge, guaranteed it's something they'll remember.

Jewelry Class

What a fun day we had today with Jan Ballagh making our new "jewels." Started with the pendants, had a fantastic lunch, then finished up with the earrings. I know I'll be making more, and there was definitely interest in having Jan back. I'll work in another pendant class this fall.

Needle Night

Another great evening of stitching and sharing. Michelle's working on a colorful piece for her office, Bonnie finished her basket, all of us working on our heart samplers and Rhonda's 2009 Workt by Hand tree. Love the detail she's putting in!

Handmaiden Designs

Debra Henkel stopped by for the day to bring her rugs and patterns that I'm debuting at the Sauder Rug Show. Come by my booth to get a better look!

Granny B's Return

Had an all day workshop with the gals from Kokomo, IN. What a fun and creative group they are. Held in the Hotel Gallery in Tipp City, OH, they hooked into wool, appliqued, and needle felted. Love that they all did a little of their own thing!

Beth shared a hit and miss rug she drew up and is hooking to use up her left over worms. Plus her great sheep purse.

Hooking Club

Genny is almost done with her wedding gift for a friend, just needs to finish with her warm, brown background.

Had 2 new rug hookers, it's great to have new enthusiasts.

Barb's finishing the binding on her cats to have it ready for Sauder Rug Show. Great colors!
