Toledo Ladies

A fun day together working on a small mat I designed.  This piece was created to teach some different techniques (applique, standing wool circles and needle felting) that were mixed with rug hooking.

Three of the ladies were carrying their awesome patriotic bags that they hooked and put together as a group.

Needle Night North

Sharon brought batiks done by her uncle that she plans to applique to a bag.  Bonnie hooks on a new Halloween rug, Nan is appliqueing a table mat and Melinda is hooking up a rug that was featured in Rug Hooking magazine's last issue.

Looking for Wool

Customer, Debbie stopped in to pick up more wool for projects she's working on and to share those almost completed.

Marlene finishes her piece that she's donating to be auctioned for a worthy cause, Carolyn is seeing stars, Bev is making ornmants, and I finished my grandson's stocking.

3 in 1 Hook In

What a great day we had today, with the ladies from the workshop and those that just came for the hook-in.

I love seeing all the different pieces everyone is working on. Some stopped by the farmer's market in town on their way...

First 3 in 1 Creative Workshop

The concept behind this workshop was, 3 teachers (Nola, Karen & I) but one project. We each designed a fall theme mat, and all participants received all those designs to create their own design. How creative everyone was!

Mini workshops/lectures were shared throughout the 2 days, ladies brought show and tell, and the food was great (thanks, Marilyn)!

After reading the evaluations, we will do this again next year! A totally different approach to rug hooking that was creative and inspiring.
