2013 Sauder Rug Show

After returning from the show, unpacking and setting the cottage back up I am finally getting to the photos of this years show. First let me say that once again it was a FABULOUS show, so very inspiring. There is some amazing talent out there! But beyond all that are the friendships that are renewed and new ones started, encouraging words, lots of laughter, and an all around good time. I want to take time to thank Kathy Wright, the folks at Sauder, and all the volunteers that work so hard to make this show what it is, you are appreciated!
There were so many rugs that I loved, but those that really made my heart sing we're those that were part of the antique sewn rugs exhibit. I love the history behind them, and seeing so many in one place was a feat in it self. Thanks Jan and Tracy for bringing them to us. If you are as inspired as I was may I suggest you get a copy of their book, American Sewn Rugs, by Jan Whitlock and Tracy Jamar. It's very well done.
I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story, enjoy!
