I DEERLY LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Whether you make a herd or just one, this reindeer is very quick and easy to make. Use him to decorate a wreath or package, or as an ornament hung on the tree. Choosing different wools to make several gives each one their own personality.

Trace the pattern {click here for link} onto a doubled piece of wool with right sides together. Sew all the way around on the traced line, leaving the straight bottom edge open. Trim and turn right side out. Stuff. Refer to the pattern to needle felt cream eyes with black pupils and a red or black nose.

Small twigs can be used for antlers, or like the ones in the photo they are made from pipe cleaners wrapped with brown roving. Poke a small hole in the head and push the pipe cleaner through and bend into shape.

Now slip a stick up inside the head, at least half way up. Tie a strip of wool snugly around the stick at the bottom of the head. For more fun, paint the stick like a candy cane or use a cinnamon stick.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  5. I love these reindeer. Especially that red pompom nosed Rudolph. Can't wait to make some. Plus those toffee bars. I believe we will be baking those when my grandson gets here for Christmas. Thank you for everything.
