This rug was created about 10 years ago by a talented, ahead of her time rug artist. At the time she was criticized for her work, because it was “not rug hooking”. I for one LOVED it from the get go and it was given to me as a gift.
It is her interpretation of a pattern from Maria Barton of Star Rug Co.
We need to remind ourselves that not everyone colors inside the box or uses the same crayons we do, and that’s a good thing or we wouldn’t have art!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Been sitting here today reflecting on the wonderful time we had in Tipp City with Lori Brechlin. There is no other more talented, genuine and hysterically funny lady that I know and I’m trilled to call her friend. Everyone had great success with the project she designed just for us, and we all laughed ourselves silly. If you ever have the opportunity to visit her shop or take a class with her, do it! Show and tell from the ladies was great and so was the food Marilyn fixed for us! Thanks Lori for a great class!
