Winter Woolen Weekend

I spent an amazing weekend in Kokomo, IN at the 4th annual Winter Woolen weekend. A wonderful collection of all types of needlearts were shared all weekend, rug hooking, felting, spinning, knitting, quilting, and stitching. There were vendors, demos, special displays, classes, and great food. Not to mention the beautiful Seiberling Mansion and Elliot House which are where the events tooks place. Beth Notaro of Beth's Main Street Folkart and her Granny B's are doing a great job of encouraging all types of folkarts and making everyone feel welcome. Put it on your calendar for next year, the last weekend in February. Unfortunately, my camera was having issues, so I was not able to get as many photos as I'd hoped. You'll just have to check it out for yourself next year.

Cabin Fever Hook-In

It was a small, but talented group that gathered to hook all day in Tipp City. Great food and lots of laughs, with a gentle reminder spring is coming.

Bev is working on a fraktur rug, that she designed. Love her use of beading on the heart.

Snow, and more snow

The first snow was beautiful, but after two weeks, I'm over it! Looking forward to the hook in this weekend, to get out of the house and be with friends.

Cabin Fever Hook In

Just a reminder to get out of the house, and come join us!

Sheep Pattern

Received the new sheep pattern from my friend, Karen at Primitive Spirit. Here is my version of one of the three designs in the pattern. Karen also gives a great way to finish off a pillow using a proddy techinique. Too cute!

Hooking Club

The girls in the hooking group are finishing up projects, and starting new ones. They do amazing work and a lot of it!

Bev, finished her purse, it looks great

Marlene, shares the Santa that she finished for the holidays

Carolyn, so close to being done with her colorful, bird house rug

Genny, already working on a Christmas gift

Lindsay, new to rug hooking, is doing her last name in individual letters to frame

New Charm

Treat yourself or a friend to this new charm, where I can add any color wool you want into the heart. Wear it as a piece of jewelry or tie it to a pair of scissors as a special fob. I just love it, something different. You can purchase it on my website for $15.00!

Hearts All Around

I have always had a fondness for anything with a heart. It started when my daughter was born on February 14th (she will be turning 30 this year!).

Thought I would share a variety of the ones I have collected or made over the years, or ones that are part of Kindred Spirit's collection.

Enjoy and Happy Valentine's Day!
