I met these delightful young ladies at the woolgathering last weekend, they were in my booth a couple of times to buy wool. I spoke with them for awhile as Eyrn was very excited to share what she had hooked and was planning to do in the future. She sounded just like the rest of us when talking about our passion for rug hooking. Encouraging them to continue, I hoped to see them next year. This week I was sent this photo of Eyrn with her first piece and wanted to share it with you all. Bravo Eyrn! Keep up the good work, and hats off the the neighbor lady who took the time to teach you!

Woolgathering in Yellow Springs
We started off soggy this weekend, but the sun came out and
it was perfect for a fall fiber festival.
Lots to see and do for all ages.
Fibers in all stages from on the hoof to finished in beautiful
products. Demonstrations and show and
tell ongoing all weekend. Fun for
all. Next year’s show September, 2014,
worth putting on your calendar.

This group of ladies came today from Columbus to take Felting 101. They already do wool appliqué and now have some new ideas for embellishing.

Needle Night
For the first time in months all of the regulars(except one) were here tonight, and what a great time we had. Sharing some great snacks, catching up on everything, and planning some new projects for the next couple of months. Bonnie brought her newest purchase of an old rug she found at an auction to show us. It's a great piece.

Woolgathering Hook-in, Camby, IN
This year was a celebration for this hook-in as it was their 10th year. It is one busy day with LOTS to buy from vendors, classes, a rug show and of course hooking. I have photos from all of it, lots of fall and Halloween, finished pieces and works in progress, and so much wool. A great time was had by all!
