So excited to once again to be returning to the rug show at Sauder Village, how can it be 20 years that I have been involved?! It is by far the highlight of my year, always look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones, not to mention a fantastic show, vendors, and classes!
I always try to have some new a different things that I present for the first time at Sauder and this year is no different. Of course all the great fibers, hand dyed linen, frames, jewelry, etc. will all be there.
You will find patterns by, Karen Kahle - Primitive Spirit, Maria Barton - Star Rug Co., Maggie Bonanomi, Debra Henkel - Handmaiden Designs, and Donna Hrkman Designs.
Nearly 1000 rugs will be on display between the exhibit hall and vendors’ booths and 33 classes, 28 workshops and 5 multi-day retreats will be offered.
Click to see a full schedule of events or to register for classes & workshops .
Hope you stop by the booth and say hello!

Summer Blog Hop : Felted Flower Garland
FELTED FLOWER GARLAND
This quick and easy garland can be made as long or short as you like. Wrapped on a basket handle (as shown) hung along a shelf, or embellish a gift, so many possibilities.
The garland in the photo was made using 2 pipe cleaners, twisting the ends together and embellished with wool roving and a felting needle. (Contact me if you would like to purchase any of the supplies needed.)
First twist the pipe cleaners end to end. Take some green wool roving and wrap tightly around the pipe cleaners, needle felting as you go to hold it in place. Once it is covered, set it aside, and felt 5 small flower discs adding the yellow centers. Now, felt them directly onto the green stem. Make a couple of green felted leaves (I did 4) and felt them to the stem as well.
Twist and bend the garland to fit whatever you are attaching it to. Make an extra flower disc and a few leaves add a pin back or glue to a hair clip for a special little girl.
