Winter Woolen Weekend, Feb 25-27, 2011

I attended this affair last year with this great group of ladies in Kokomo, IN.  When invited back again, I didn't hesitate to say yes.

Beth Notaro and her Granny-Bee's do a great job of organizing, cooking, and seeing that everyone has a good time.

There are a variety of vendors with inticing products to sell, both finished and supplies.

Demos are on-going by the various needleart guilds in the area, lots of show and tell, and just a generous sharing of ideas.

If you want a little more in depth instruction a variety of classes are also offered.  This year I did a needle felted bag.  All the ladies did a great job and had good results.  I have a feeling they will be doing more.

Just a little side note, the Granny Bee's lost one of their dear members, Helen Kelly on Friday.  Although in her 80's, she was young at heart and an amazing woman.  This little owl is a piece that I got from her last year.  My sympathies to her family and friends, she will be missed.

  1. Found your blog via Karen Kahle :) Was wondering if you knew who was hooking the turkey rug. I hooked this same rug a few years back and was wondering if that person was inspired by the same vintage postcard that I used. Here is a link to my version http://skiptomyewe.blogspot.com/2007/04/im-almost-organized.html
